Play Real Online Poker for Real Money at Ignition Casino
Playing free online poker can be fun, but it’s not the same when the stakes are so low. One of the biggest thrills of real online poker is the potential to win (and lose!) big. This risk is what amps up the excitement and makes online poker tournaments worth playing.
At Ignition Casino, we totally get this. That’s why we offer a range of real online poker tournaments and cash games, where you can win real money. Not bonus bets, account credits, or free play – real, cold, hard cash!
In fact, a few of our loyal players have had major wins on our tables. Here we look at how they did this and how you can follow in their footsteps. We’ll also touch on how to make the move from free online poker to winning real cash while you play.
Opening Your Account and Making a Deposit with Bitcoin
Let’s start at the beginning. If you’re new to Ignition Casino, before you can start playing online poker, you’ll need to set up your account. This is a fairly straightforward process – just click “Join”, follow the prompts and provide the required information, then click “Register”.
Next, you’ll need to give yourself some cash to play with by making your first deposit. While this can be done by the traditional methods (e.g. credit card), we believe Bitcoin is best. After all, it is one of the world’s most advanced and secure currencies!
Making a deposit with Bitcoin can be done in a few simple steps:
- Set up your digital wallet – this is where you’ll keep your Bitcoin.
- Get yourself some Bitcoin – this can be done on a crypto exchange using your credit card.
- Send your Bitcoin to your digital wallet – this allows them to be used as a payment method.
- Deposit into your Ignition Casino account – this gives you the cash to play our real online poker tournaments and other popular casino games.
For more information on this, check out our Bitcoin FAQs (available in the Help Centre). Here you’ll also find a heap of helpful articles about what cryptos are and how they work.
Downloading Our Online Poker Software and Picking a Table
After you’ve set up your account and made your first deposit, it’s time for a little online poker!
To get into the game, you’ll need to download the Ignition Casino online poker app. Once the file has been downloaded, open it to finish the installation. Once this is done, you can open the app to see our full game menu.
From here, the choice is yours. You can choose to play online poker for real money or free online poker. You can also choose your preferred variation (e.g. Texas Holdem, Omaha, etc).
If you want to play online poker for real money, you’ll also need to choose your buy in. And you can pick between an online poker tournament or a simple cash game.
This may sound like a lot of options, but we want to make sure you can play the way you want. If you’re new to online poker, or just want to start slow, go with a classic, like Texas Holdem. You should also consider sticking to free online poker, at least until you get the hang of the game.
Once you’ve made your choices, you’re ready to take your seat. Just click “Take My Seat” to join the table and start playing.
And that’s it… you’ve officially joined your first Ignition Casino online poker game. Let the fun and excitement begin!
Level Up Your Game by Multi-Tabling
If you’ve been playing online poker for a while, you’re probably ready to take your game to the next level. One of the best ways to do this is playing multiple tables at the one time.
At Ignition Casino, players are allowed up to four active sessions. This means four times the excitement and four times the opportunities to win! It also means a lot less downtime, as you wait for your opponents to make their move.
While multi-tabling might be a bit much for a newcomer, it’s quite common amongst real online poker players. Some use it to hedge their bets, offsetting their aggressive play at one table with more conservative moves at others. Other players see it as a chance to amplify their wins.
Whatever your approach, multi-tabling really maximises the excitement.
If this is something you’re willing to try, we recommend starting slow. Give two tables a go first, reducing each table’s window size so you can stay across the action on both. Then, once you’ve mastered that, add a third table… and then a fourth.
One word of caution, though. Because multi-tabling splits your focus, it can be harder to get a deep read on an individual table or player. As such, it requires a greater level of intuition and strategic play.
However, if you can master it, it’s a great way to really up the ante. It can also help pass the time when playing real online poker tournaments, which often drag on. As they say, sometimes you need a bit of action on the side to keep you interested!
Pulling Out Your Cash
All going well, after a few online poker tournaments and some cash game hands, you’ll find yourself ahead. At this point, you’ll probably want to pull at least some of your winnings out. Good news is, this is quite an easy process.
When making a withdrawal, you can choose from a few different methods. We believe Bitcoin is easily the best, as it’s processed the fastest. You can also withdraw as little as $20 via Bitcoin and there are no fees associated.
If you prefer, you can also withdraw your winnings via cheque. However, this may attract some fees. It will take some time to process, and the minimum withdrawal is $100.
